SPOTLIGHTING ALUMNI
1. What are you currently studying and where?
I am currently studying Psychology at the University American College Skopje (UACS).
2. What is one "unexpected skill" you learned at ASM that you still use today?
I can’t point to one single unexpected skill. What I can say is that a teacher might teach you how to solve a calculus equation or balance a chemical reaction, and that same thinking process or structured approach to breaking down a problem can be transferred to other completely unrelated material.
3. If you could go back to one ASM moment for a day, what would it be and why?
I would go back to my classes prom on May 19th, 2023. That entire day felt special and
bittersweet in the best possible way. Most of the class had known each other since third grade, so there was something really special about celebrating with the people you grew up with and know so well.
4. In your view, what is ASM's greatest strength as a school community?
ASM’s greatest strength is its sense of familiarity and comfort. ASM is a smaller school, and because of that, you get to know both your classmates and your teachers really well. That closeness and familiarity creates an environment where people feel connected and comfortable with each other. That feeling of closeness and familiarity is nearly impossible to replicate in larger institutions.
